After Chris left WASP he joined Randy Piper's Animal for some time. He wasn't involved in the recording of the first album but he toured with the band in the US. When I was in contact with Chris about buying RR0849 he was staying at Animal's bassist house and they were rehearsing the songs. It's sad that Chris left Animal as the band's second album is excellent and it would have been great to see Chris touring again.
The guitar was a lot more colourful at this point with red bevels, Manson face and many bullethole stickers. Chris also used the guitar for LA Guns gigs and recently has been seen using it live and in the studio as a guest performer.
A friend of mine from the US visited Chris in 2007 and got to try his remaining guitars. Below are some pics from the visit - Thanks Dave! Notice the additional jack socket. It looks like the guitar still has the original frets and tuners.
