The famous Budweiser graphic and a rare reverse strathead neck on a star body make this one of the most regonizable Jackson guitars ever. It's a bolt on like Chris' earlier yellow custom parts Star and it was most likely built in 1986. The serial was 6006 so the guitar was made at the Jackson factory in Ontario CA, and the guitar was used from the Electric Circus tour onwards, until its untimely death in the hands of Chris' then wife Lita Ford in around 1990. Not a guitar I would have liked to end up in a carbage can. Chris has said that Lita smashed two of his guitars, but I don't know the other one. Chris liked to put a line of text on the back of his guitars and the Budstar was no exception - in this case "This Butts 4 You" which is a pun of the Budweiser slogan.
![]() ![]() The Budstar had the cool Rhoads TOM bridge with chrome stop-tail, and the control cavity is normal size vs. the drilled hole on his other customs. The tuners on the guitar look like Grovers while his other guitars came with stock Jackson tuners. Once again Chris came up with unique specs which make the guitar instantly identifiable. ![]() This guitar appeared in the video for 'I Don't Need No Doctor'. The song is a cover of a Humble Pie classic, and I think the guitar solo on it is one of Chris' best! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The image at the bottom is from a 1989 W.A.S.P.
