Grover Jackson King V Mustaine signature



From what I know Grover Jackson guitars were high quality instruments made for the Japanese market. They were mostly of same material as the US versions but put together in Japan to avoid taxes. Dave probably got a handful of them from his endorsement deal. The black one above was used for promo pictures and possibly for live performances as well. The korina KV below resides in Hard Rock Cafe somewhere and is in unrepairable condition. These guitars look identical to the US made KV1s but have "Grover Jackson" logo on the headstock.



There have been several different versions of Dave's signature models made for the Japanese market. Below is a scan from a Grover Jackson catalog from the late mid 90s which shows a model almost identical with KV1.
